CAROLINE HESLOP is a London-based composer specialising in contemporary art music as well as music for film and theatre. Her work has been performed across the UK at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Riverside Studios, The Old Royal Naval College Chapel in Greenwich, Troy Bar Hoxton and Aberystwyth University. Her opera ‘Voicing’ was premiered at the Tète a Tète Opera Festival 2011.
Interested in the role of the composer in changing artistic and social environments and with an exploration of the theatre of music central to her work, Caroline is currently planning a series of interdisciplinary projects in unusual performance spaces in London in collaboration with a team of composers and performers.
An experienced pianist and conductor, with a number of post-graduate degrees in composition, performance and education, Caroline has combined a career as music journalist, teacher and composer for many years.
